PET

PET is polyester and has the chemical name of polyethylene terephthalate.

Its flexible, has good mechanical and optical properties. Compared to PETG its more scratch resistant and harder.

Cuts nice but doesn't have the best engraving properties. Slight hazing will occur around the cuts do to heat affecting the plastic.

No protective film on either side.

Available thicknesses and colors

  • 0.25mm - Transparent

Cut width

~ 0.2-0.3mm

Sheet Size

980mm * 680mm

Benefits:

+ Flexible

+ Good mechanical properties

+ Suitable for thermoforming

Drawbacks:

- Not suitable for fill engraving

Mechanical properties:

  • Density: 1350-1450 kg/m3
