Normally used as a packaging material but is well suited for laser cutting, leaving nice clean cuts.

Single wall has one flute layer surrounded by two flat layers.

Dubble wall has two flute layers and three flat layers.

Single face has one flute layer and one flat layer.

Premium cardboard has a nicer surface finish using slightly thicker flat layers.

  • 7mm - Natural - Premium - Dubble wall
  • 6.5mm - Natural - Dubble wall
  • 3mm - Natural - Single wall
  • 2.5mm - Natural - Single face

Thickness tolerance

±0.5mm (larger variances might occur)

Cut width

~ 0.15-0.3mm

  • 6.5mm - 1100mm * 700mm
  • 3mm - 1100mm * 700mm
  • 2.5mm - 1200mm * 660mm

Hints from TechStation!

Fun material that can be used in many creative ways.

Remember that the internal structure of the material is comprised of long hollow tubes. Don't make features to small or there will be no internal structure holding the outside together. An example of this can be seen on the first image on this page. Take a look at the 1mm bar.

Benefits:

+ Cheap

Drawbacks:

- Made of paper

  • Density: 60-90 kg/m3
